Waldorf announces their new iOS app – iOS Attack

Waldorf just made a big pre-NAMM splash with the announcement of their upcoming app called iOS Attack. This drum and percussion synth has been available on the desktop since 2001, and is scheduled to hit the App Store sometime in Q2 of this year.

The app features a 16-step sequencer, with 24 different instruments to use. Of course these are all customizable, and can be further enhanced by adding effects. Those include delay, EQ, drive, phaser, flanger, chorus, and a phrase vocoder. I'm guessing that the phrase vocoder will be similar to what is currently available in Nave, but I'm not sure quite yet.

Per their press release, iOS Attack is "also capable of producing powerful polyphonic synth/bass/lead sounds — perfect for creating full-blown backing sequences". So, not just a drum synth I'm guessing.

I've included some screen shots below. This app looks like it's going to be fantastic. Judging on Waldorf's Nave synth, I'm already getting very excited for this one to be released. I'll post more updates as they become available.
