This Music Plants Trees – A new compilation album to help the environment

A new compilation album is being released to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd. Brought to you by Sound for Good Records, This Music Plants Trees is an album of 155 (!) tracks from many walks of life. There are a lot of familiar names from the iOS music scene, including Martin Neuhold, Frozen Lonesome, Dave Riddell, Globotom, MyklH, Evangelos Koudonas, and Shawn McClure.

Here's a bit of a description of the project and album from the Bandcamp site:

Sound For Good Records began on Earth Day, March 22nd, 2012. As with most years, we will be celebrating this year with another release to celebrate the label, and the Mother Earth on April 22nd, 2015.

This year, we present an expanded community effort focused on using music to plant trees with the Trees for the Future project. "This Music Plants Trees" brings together artists from around the world in a collection of over 150 tracks. Discover a universe of music to share and help build awareness about Trees. They cool the planet, retain water, are home to the wild, and clean the air we breathe. Every dollar raised 10 trees. Your modest donation just $5 or $10 (or more) can make a big difference by planting 50-100s trees! Please give any amount now and get this great collection of music for your kind support of the Mother Earth.

Sound For Good records is a non-profit record label that has a history of supporting good causes through music. Check out some of their other albums here. For this album, for example, every $1 spent on this album will help plant 10 trees.

I've just picked up this album tonight, and obviously haven't had time to listen to all 155 tracks. But, for $5 I'm pretty sure I'll get my money's worth, and support a good cause as well.
